About the Role

The Store Associate plays a key role in delivering an exceptional in-store experience while supporting daily retail operations and contributing to sales performance. Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Sales

  • Welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner, creating a positive first impression
  • Engage with shoppers to understand their needs, preferences, and style
  • Provide product recommendations and suggest complementary items to increase sales
  • Inform customers about ongoing promotions, special offers, and new arrivals
  • Deliver a personalized and memorable shopping experience that encourages repeat visits
  • Consistently work toward achieving individual and store sales targets

Store Operations & Merchandising

  • Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards at all times
  • Ensure shelves and displays are fully stocked and visually appealing
  • Follow visual merchandising guidelines to uphold brand image and style
  • Replenish merchandise and ensure accurate pricing and labeling
  • Support seasonal layout changes and promotional setups

Transactions & Cash Handling

  • Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently and accurately
  • Process cash, card, and other payment transactions in accordance with company procedures
  • Handle returns, exchanges, and customer inquiries professionally
  • Ensure accurate cash reconciliation at the end of shifts

Inventory & Stock Management

  • Assist with receiving deliveries and unpacking new stock
  • Organize inventory in the stockroom and on the sales floor
  • Participate in regular stocktaking and inventory control processes
  • Monitor stock levels and communicate replenishment needs to management
  • Support loss prevention practices and report discrepancies when identified

Teamwork & Compliance

  • Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Support colleagues during busy periods to maintain service standards
  • Follow company policies, safety procedures, and loss prevention guidelines
  • Contribute to a positive and motivated team environment

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in retail or customer service (preferred but not mandatory)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Flexible availability, including shifts, weekends, and public holidays
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS systems
